Hands On History Day for Kids September 14th in Corry

When: September 14, 2013 11:00 am – 4:30 pm
Where: Corry Area Historical Society, 945 Mead Avenue, Corry
How Much: FREE (Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult over 18)

The day is filled with old time activities for children, like playing five stones, nine pins, drop spinning wool and more than fifteen additional activities. The day also includes demonstrations by blacksmiths, a china painter, woodcarvers, a miniature steam engines builder and others. The first 500 students to complete an activity card will receive an antique penny souvenir and gently used book.

Beginning at 3 pm, 19th century dance demonstrations and lessons will be offered. No experience is needed. You can learn as you go, and it’s fun for the whole family!

Donation will be accepted. All donations will help to fund operations at the Corry Area Historical Society Museum.
