Becky Weiser, Curator at the Erie County Historical Society, will speak at the Edinboro Area Historical Society’s March 18, 2020 meeting where she will discuss her work with the society’s large museum collection. Weiser leads a staff researching catalog records and matching them with objects exhibited and stored at the county’s official historical society. Also, she will present items from the collection that have not been displayed in years. Her program will encourage audience participation.
Weiser, who has been the Curator of the Erie County Historical Society since September 2017, has a BA in Political Science with a minor in History, a Secondary Education Teaching Certificate and an MA in Communication Studies with an emphasis in History, all from Edinboro University. Also, she has taken undergraduate Museum Studies courses at Mercyhurst University.
The meeting will be held Wednesday, March 18th in the Council Chamber at the Edinboro Municipal Building, 124 Meadville Street. The business meeting will begin at 6:30 pm followed by a brief refreshments break. The program featuring Ms. Weiser’s talk will begin at 7:00 pm. The Edinboro Area Historical Society’s meetings are free and open to the public. Both the Edinboro Municipal Building and the Council Chamber are handicapped accessible.
